Little League at Fenway: Mayor Walsh pitches off Little League Season

Will your team be there? Mayor Walsh with the Red Sox and Boston City Little League Teams will be hosting a Little League Opening Day celebration at Fenway Park on Wednesday, April 19th from 11:30 – 2PM. Little Leaguers including softball players and Little League teams outside of Boston, will be taking the field at Fenway to usher in the start to the 2017 Little League season.

There is nothing quite like the start of baseball season.  It is a truly American tradition that goes back generations.  During Little League Opening day, the Red Sox and Boston City Little League teams will be treated to a day full of celebration:

  • Children will have access to play catch in centerfield
  • Take a look inside the home and away dugouts
  • Walk the warning track to take a picture with the Green Monster wall
  • Fenway’s Kids’ Concourse will have music playing, the VR dugout and homerun challenge, World Series trophies, stilt walkers, jugglers, face painters, balloon artists, and more!

After Little League Opening Day, is the Baseball Beanpot tournament featuring Boston College, Harvard University, Northeastern University and UMass Amherst taking the field.
