Procrastinator’s Weekend Guide: Boston City Fun

Procrastinator’s Weekend Guide: Boston City Fun

On my radar this weekend is a great variety of activities from Ghost Ships and Glass Pumpkins to Contemporary Art with the family.

Saturday

You know you’re up anyway so head over to Assembly Row for a Rock of Ages yoga session. If yoga isn’t your think then save the date for Rock of Ages at the Wang Theatre October 23rd- 28th.

Oktoberfest at Bow Market with Remnant Brewing beer (of course), Bavarian grilled cheese, all the hip shops and more.

Saturday and Sunday

Visit the dahlia show at Tower Hill Botanic Gardens. Then grab lunch at Rail Trail and dessert at New City Microcreamery. If you don’t stop for ice cream, don’t worry because New City Microcreamery just opened a Cambridge location.

Boston Latino Film Festival is in full swing with Latin full feature movies, shorts and documentaries screening all over the city.

Sunday

Smoke This Rib Fest in east Cambridge is this Sunday between Fulkerson and 5th St. Pit master vs pit master, live music, and local reataurants all come together to create this fun family friendly feast.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra is performing for free at Franklin Park. The concert begins at 3:00 but family-friendly activities start at 1:00.

Allandale Farm dinner with Mei Mei one of my favourite restaurants. I have never gone to a farm dinner and this one is in the greenhouses which I like the idea of (less bugs etc. It is on my bucket list.

We love the Gypsy Kings and they are performing this Sunday at the Chevalier Theatre.
