Hip and Happening Just Outside Boston: Archer Burlington

Hip and Happening Just Outside Boston: Archer Burlington

Shopping steps from the lobby door, arts and entertainment just down the road, a hip vibe, and fab food options is what we all love about the city. Expensive parking, traffic, and noise we could do without. Archer Hotel Burlington manages to have everything we love about the city without the negatives. We were guests of this hip new hotel at 3rd Ave Burlington and got to experience this best of both worlds.

Eat & Shop Locally

Location is everything. Even though I live in the city, I head out to Burlington for everything from shopping and dining to entertainment. We love Island Creek Oyster Bar, HMart, The Bancroft, Border Café and soon the much loved Gluten Free/allergen free café Twist will be open. As for entertainment, head to Guard UP hosts Nerf blaster nights, there is the AMC movie theatres, Kings Bowling, and Cary Hall in Lexington Center.

When you 1st walk into Archer Burlington, you may never want to leave. The seating areas are so inviting, there is a pool table in the dining area next to the bar, there are books with local themes on the bookshelves, and they even have a pair of reading glasses nearby if you left yours at home.

Vacation Locally

Every detail from the decorative ceilings by the elevators to the spacious gym make a stay at Archer Burlington feel decadent. The artwork throughout the hotel is done by local artists and give you a true sense of place. There are waters and locally made treats in your room upon check in making everyone feel like a VIP.  Ours were some handmade caramels that swiftly disappeared as the kids gleefully unwrapped the little sweets.

There is a small splash pool where the kids can play while you lounge comfortably poolside, but if you want to do laps just head next door to Lifetime Athletics.

The rooms are spacious and beds were so comfortable we really didn’t want to leave. We are glad we did though because breakfast at the hotel was delicious and included some of our favourite foods from Iggy’s bagels, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and of course sausage and eggs.

Archer Burlington is a wonderful family staycation spot, but it would also be perfect for a family reunion, a business event, or just a place for out of town guests to stay. Boston is a short drive away, but if you have no need to go into the city there is plenty to so right around the hotel.
