Weekend Guide: Spring Saunters Into Boston in Song

The sun is stronger, the ground is thawing, and buds are on the trees. Spring has arrived in Boston, but these are the early days so plan on warm layers and a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. The weather this weekend starts of rainy and ends with a sunny Sunday.

The Town and the Country Festival in Lowell is this weekend. It is a two day music and arts festival inspired by and celebrating Jack Kerouac’s creativity and exploration. The two day festival has some shows for all ages and others that are 21+.

For music a little closer to Boston, you can check out these events. Art in Tune at the Museum of Fine Arts on Friday April 8th, catch a concert at newly opened Roadrunner in Brighton, Music at the Zoo on Saturday April 9th. The Franklin Park Zoo will have a delayed opening at 11 on April 9th and music will be from 1:00-3:00.
