If you have been following me for any bit of time now, you know how much I love Cirque du Soleil. I really think everyone should see Cirque du Soleil at least once in their life. Their masterpieces are ageless, genderless, and break barriers of class, culture, language, everything. Their art is one of of human connection and experience.

For Mother’s Day this year, Cirque du Soleil has an offer worth snatching up. Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo will be in Boston at Agganis Arena June 8th – 11th. Tickets are buy 3 get one free and can be purchased here.

Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.
Cirque du Soleil
While there is nothing like a show under the big top, I have seen several at Boston University’s Agganis Arena and they are still spectacular. The format of Corteo is a unique one for Cirque du Soleil and one that connects the audience even more because much like in the big top (but even more-so) the stage is central to the venue splitting the audience on either side. So the audience can see one another across the stage.
