Pierce The Veil made sure all of New England had completely thawed and awoken from its winter freeze hitting the stage at Xfinity Center on May 30th with earth shaking energy. Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens have been co-headlining tours together for a while now. The show opened with Beach Weather a band based just 30 minutes from Xfinity Center, which reminds me that I truly believe every show should open with at least a small set from a local band. Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens opened the season at Xfinity Center with their sold out I Can’t Hear You Tour.
Pierce The Veil is a trio out of San Diego made up of Vic Fuentes (vocals, rhythm guitar, keys), Tony Perry (lead guitar), and Jaime Preciado (bass). From the moment Pierce the Veil hit the stage, the room. erupted in a wave of raw energy. Jaimie Preciado’s bass echoed through the venue and surged through photographer on assignment, Tyler Miles‘ entire body. The low tones shook the floor and sent a rush of energy through the crowd. Every jump, guitar trick and scream into the mic ramped up the vibrations of the room and energy of the audience even higher.
Pierce the Veil played with fire and the audience matched it beat for beat. Fans jumped in unison, arms reaching out as if trying to hold tightly onto the moment before it sublimated into the atmosphere. Pierce the Veil’s set was more than a performance. It was a communal release. The show was a shared high between strangers who all came together to feel something real to the core.
Pierce the Veil’s latest album The Jaws of Life (Deluxe) was released on May 9th 2025. My current favourite song of theirs is King for a Day, one of their most popular songs off of their Collide with The Sky album from 2012 and off the new album Pass The Nirvana .
Sleeping with Sirens are described as modern alt rock and have been going fourteen years strong. They have been touring with Pierce the Veil on and off since as far back as 2012. Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens are not just “music family” Vic Fuentes is in fact cousins to Sleeping With Sirens’ Nick Martin. Sleeping with Sirens is from Orlando, Florida. The band consist of Kellin Quinn (founding member, vocals), Jack Fowler (guitar), Nick Martin (guitar), Justin Hill (bass), and Gabe Barham (drums). Sleeping With Sirens’ latest album is Complete Collapse released September 29th 2023. My current favourite songs of theirs are Complete Collapse and If You Can’t Hang.
Beach Weather hit the stage first with their alt pop sound. Beach Weather is technically from Braintree, MA, Phoenix, AZ and Nashville, TN but we’ll call them local because of that MA connection. If you ask them, they’re from the fictional town of Beach Weather, USA. The band is made up of Nick Santino, (vocals/guitar) Sean Silverman (guitarist) and Reeve Powers (bass). Their latest album is Melt’d Deluxe released May 30th 2025 the day of the show.
The I Can’t Hear You World Tour continues this month on the west coast, then heads to Europe in September, and comes back to the US in October including Jones Beach NY October 21st and Hartford, CT October 22nd, followed by Mexico in November and then December in South America.
