Boston Winter Getaway: Destination Downtown

By Leah Klein February 11, 2022 February 11, 2022 0

Destination Downtown In the heart of the city is The Godfrey Boston. The Godfrey is spacious and chic, especially good for travel with teens and tweens, but also good for a romantic couples getaway while the kids stay home or spend a night over at a friend’s or grandparents’ house. …

Archer Hotel Burlington: Boston without the Bustle

By Leah Klein February 8, 2022 February 8, 2022 0

Staying outside Boston when you come to visit our fair city is a genius move for many reasons. While suburban Burlington can be a destination in itself, thanks to great local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, Boston is a 20 minute drive or an easy bus and T (subway) ride in …

Last Minute But Still Fabulous: Gift Guide

Last Minute But Still Fabulous: Gift Guide

By Leah Klein December 16, 2021 December 16, 2021 0

Last minute is all relative. It doesn’t really matter to the gift recipient when you got their gift as long as it is thoughtful and you had them in mind when choosing it. There is still plenty of time to shop locally for some fabulous gifts and you don’t have …

Bedside Minimalism: Design Board

Bedside Minimalism: Design Board

By Leah Klein January 22, 2021 January 25, 2021 0

One thing that seems to always be true about city living is that it is expensive and space is hard to come by or at very least kind of awkward. Over the years, we have constantly tweaked our living space and in this house we have used Wayfair for everything …

Boston’s Thanksgiving Sandwich Scene

Boston’s Thanksgiving Sandwich Scene

By Leah Klein November 6, 2020 November 15, 2020 1

There are two types of Thanksgiving guests. Those who are there for the leftovers to make the next day sandwich and those who are there for the pie. This year, since things will be different anyway. I suggest take out Thanksgiving/Pilgrim/Turkey and Stuffing sandwiches and pie for your small socially …

The New Normal: Xfinity’s Contributions

The New Normal: Xfinity’s Contributions

By Leah Klein June 30, 2020 July 2, 2020 0

Sponsored by Comcast A rainbow is a perfect intersection of certain elements to make a thing of ephemeral beauty. These striated arcs of color bring joy universally. The thing is, the same can’t be said for rain. Rain ruins days and puts a damper on the mood and yet there …

Cooking with Fire: Beyond S’Mores with Wayfair * Sponsored

By Leah Klein June 26, 2020 June 26, 2020 0

Sitting around a fire used to be reserved for summer camp and camping. Now, having a fire pit at home has become very popular. A small patio fire pit in the city or a large outdoor sitting room around a fire pit both have one very important thing in common: …

Playing the Game: /peh-LO-tah/

By Leah Klein May 2, 2019 May 2, 2019 0

All I knew about the performance was that there would be soccer, a story, some movement, and music. I was sold at “soccer” because I have a soft spot for the sport. I lived in France when Pele was king. I fell in love with Bend it like Beckham. Soccer …

This is linger over a glass of wine kind of weathe This is linger over a glass of wine kind of weather. Dan and I had a fab time doing just that last night at Spoke Wine Bar. Now I’m craving all the things: the cranberry fresno glazy saucy thing on the fried parsnip cake, the hint of bergamot in the aioli with the quince glazed sausage skewers, the fresh scallop crudo paired with rich AF beef cheeks, the somehow buttery soy sauce in the clams with persimmon, and the creamy tagine bean dip. I could go back again tonight and have it all again- and so much more of the menu that we didn’t try because we kept this meal dairy free for Dan.
