Levitate Music and Arts Festival: What to Expect for 2026

The first time I went to Levitate several years ago, I was new to music festivals at this phase of my life. I had been to Lollapalooza and Lilith Fair in the 90s, and spent my high school teens flitting about with flowers in my hair at Clearwater Festival in New York. I love music, and I definitely knew a few names on the lineup, but the bands definitely skewed to more jam bands and music that I was less familiar with and fond of lately. What I quickly learned is that even if the big name bands are not your jam at a festival like Levitate, with three stages, you will find old music you love and new music to love too. There is plenty to do, in between sets or you can bounce from stage to stage and have music fill your entire weekend. Levitate Music and Arts Festival is for music fans of all ages. I ran into friends that I didn’t expect to see there, and made new friends as we bopped our heads to music that was new to us.

The Basics

Levitate Music and Arts Festival is a two day music and arts festival. It is held outdoors at the Marshfield fairgrounds. There are three stages in varying sizes with bands performing all day. There are some great food options in the food truck section of the festival. There are live murals being created by local artists throughout the weekend which is always fun to witness. The artisan section is filled with local talented artists selling their wares with everything from jewelry and pottery to clothing and stickers.

Families enjoy Levitate Music and Arts Festival, and so do groups of adults of all ages. It is a space and place that some have been coming as a group for a decade, others have started it as a new tradition with college friends, and some are just discovering it now as a perfect summer reunion with their music loving peers.

Blankets and low-backed chairs are permitted in specific areas and people will often set up an area to settle for the day with blankets. Water is provided so all you need is an empty water bottle to stay well hydrated all day.

Parking is available at the festival for $30/day and needs to be reserved early. As of now (March 5, 2026), tickets are still available for both days of the festival as well as parking. Tickets can be purchased here.

Levitate 2026 Music Line Up

I am especially excited for this year’s line up. I am familiar with quite a few of the bigger bands, some whose headlining shows I will see in Boston earlier this year. I also look forward to getting to know some of the bands I am less familiar with.
