This weekend I have no guide for you except this. (which I meant to post yesterday but life pulled me away from the screen and I’m only getting back to you now….)
Stop everything else even if it “must get done” because it still can probably wait a bit and do something you love. For me it was testing a recipe and taking photographs. I didn’t know how much I would enjoy recipe testing. It was something I had to get done while on vacation and I had a blast doing it as the children played cards on the rug nearby.
Take time to go outside. It might be just 5 minutes on the front stoop. It might be a trip to a new playground. A walk around the block. An afternoon at the beach. Feel the sun on your face or the raindrops on your nose.

I try to make sure we are outside as much as possible in the nice weather. Of course, West Nile was just found in my town, so now we have less time outdoors than I would like, but we definitely try to enjoy the fresh air as much as possible.
Such a great reminder to enjoy the moments and not get caught up in the constant to-do lists!
Love the reminder (I’ve been doing the same thing only it was in the city) and can’t wait to taste this recipe! Looks gorgeous!
Just came back from the mountains and it was so out of the ordinary for us! Had a blast! I’m glad you’re getting some good old fashioned family time in!
We need to get out in the mountains…in some cooler and cleaner air, it looks amazing!
Home today and I miss the mountains already!
These last few weeks we have really been enjoying the outdoors. This weather has been amazing! Nothing beats this kind of family time.
Despite the tech savvy, it’s so important to unplug and spend time with family, enjoying the beautiful weather, or doing what you love! Some weekends I find myself so immersed in other things that I completely forget to pick up my phone or don’t have a chance to sit down at the computer which is a refreshing change from the week!
Always a nice treat when you are too busy with life to plug in.
Love this. Such a wonderful reminder to get out and be amazed by all the details in life.
Your get outside and enjoy nature suggestion made me realize that we are having people over tomorrow for a little party and my front and part of my side sidewalk looks terrible. I let it get way overgrown. I think I may have to forgo the gym for some outdoor yardwork.
